Deleting e-mail messages

If you no longer need an e-mail message, you can delete it. This way you can also free up storage space in your inbox.

To delete a message:

  1. On the Amazon WorkMail Web App toolbar, click the Mail icon on the toolbar.
  2. Perform one of the following tasks:
    • In the content panel, select a message and press the Del key.
    • In the content area, open the message and click Delete.
    • On the Message tab, click Delete.

If you have accidentally deleted messages, calendar items, or contacts, you can restore them. All deleted messages, calendar items, and contacts are saved in the Deleted Items directory in the application.

Note

You can restore items that are still in the Deleted Items directory. If you empty the Deleted Items directory, these items will be irrevocably deleted.

To restore a deleted item

  1. On the Amazon WorkMail Web App toolbar, click the Mail icon on the toolbar.
  2. In the Deleted Items directory, select the message you want to restore and click Copy/Move.

Tip

You can also click the plus sign (+) in the tab bar.

In the Copy/Move messages dialogue box, select the destination directory and click Move.
